Fort Point Images
Fort Point is a Civil War era military structure located under the Golden Gate Bridge at its southern end. Built in 1863, it guarded the entrance to San Francisco Bay since California's gold rush days. A three-story brick structure surrounding an open central courtyard, the old fort is a wonderland of textures with repeating lines and curves. Light from the courtyard changes constantly as the sun moves through its arc.
